# Overview

Display official energy badges, labels, and product information sheets on your Shopify store.

[EU Energy Label](https://apps.shopify.com/eu-energy-label) is a Shopify app by [Staylime](https://staylime.com/) that helps your store comply with the EU Energy Labeling Regulation. You add a product's EPREL registration number — the app does the rest: the badge shows the product's energy class, a click on it opens the official energy label, and a link next to it opens the product information sheet (PIS). All data is fetched directly from the European Commission's EPREL database.

What the documentation covers:

* [Setup guide](/docs/energy-label/getting-started/setup-guide.md) — install the app, enable it in your theme, and assign your first EPREL number.
* [Displaying energy labels](/docs/energy-label/displaying-energy-labels/finding-eprel-numbers.md) — add EPREL numbers to your products and show badges everywhere the regulation requires: product, collection, search, and cart pages.
* [Special cases](/docs/energy-label/special-cases/variants-support.md) — per-variant labels, multiple labels on one page, and manual setup for legacy products not registered in EPREL.
* [Localization](/docs/energy-label/localization/product-sheet-language.md) — how the language of the product information sheet is chosen for each customer.
* [Legal notice](/docs/energy-label/legal/legal-notice.md) — what the app is responsible for, what stays with you, and where the data comes from.

Not sure what the regulation requires from your online store? Start with [Energy labeling requirements](/docs/energy-label/getting-started/energy-labeling-requirements.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://staylime.com/docs/energy-label/getting-started/overview.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
