# How do I change button and system text?

Standard system texts in the theme (such as "Keep reading" buttons, "Sale" badges, or navigation labels) cannot be edited directly in the Theme Editor. To change them, you need to use Shopify's built-in language editor or the official localization app:

1. Go to your **Theme Editor**, click the three dots (`...`) in the top left corner, and select **Edit default theme content**.

2. Type the word you want to change into the search bar to find the corresponding field.

3. Enter your new text and click **Save**.
